We all have different likes and dislikes which distinguishes what works and what doesn’t for us which is why it is important for everyone to take a leap of faith and venture on a journey that can lead to the unknown. You may find that you have differing opinions to me and may actually enjoy it a lot more then I did. If you have not yet read this novel I recommend that you do despite my negatives. Despite two books in the series disappointing me I’ve fallen in love with this world Snyder has created between Valek and Yelena which has influenced me enough to want to finish the series especially knowing that the last book, Dawn Study, is rumoured to be coming out next year! I can’t wait! Snyder because her writing is amazing yet I must break it to you that this book did not leave me satisfied. Shadow Study was unbelievably captivating which led me to have high hopes towards Night Study yet it greatly lacked in drawing my attention.ĭon’t get me wrong. Shadow Study was written before Night Study and I absolutely loved it! It was filled with everything I desired from action to romance to humour. Night Study is the 5th book in Snyder’s Study series or other wise known as the 2nd book in her Soulfinders series which is a spin off from the Study books. Snyder and unfortunately I was a little disappointed. On the 27th of May I completed Night Study by Maria V.

The lordship of Christ should include an interest in the arts, writes Francis Schaeffer. It turns out that the Bible actually has a lot to say on the subject, some of it in exacting language while others can be clearly separated. Buy a cheap copy of Art and the Bible book by Francis A. He encourages a mindset for the Christian to take God's commands into account and seperate human traditions that run contrary. if Christianity is really true, then it involves the whole man, including his intellect and creativeness. He leaves the reader with an important and balanced perspective about a case for art in churches today. Has there ever been a time in church history where 'art' has been more neglected and at the same time so despised (and even feared)? Some of the questions tackled: Can Christians make art that is religious in nature? Can Christians make art that is NOT religious in nature? Why are there so few pictures of anything in new "outreach" churches? Why are so many churches today made from the material that metal storage sheds are made from? Are stained glass windows unbiblical? How many churches refuse to hang even a painting in the building! Schaeffer seeks a Biblical footing for his reasonings. "How ugly are so many churches these days!" Schaeffer states in this slightly dated but important work.
